This is a rumor, so don't take this as set in stone yet.
A couple of days ago another radio station in Montreal had said that it was a done deal. But, according to a Twitter post a short while ago:
When/if this is confirmed I will update

To NYR fans who don't know much about Bouillon & are wondering about this move.
If Sather did in fact sign Bouillon then it's a pretty good signing for some veteran defense & depth
The guy has heart & if you remember was even willing to take on Colton Orr. Despite the fact he's only 5'8 he was known to be one of the strongest players on the Habs

The rumour is tenacious. I'd like this signing, One year at one million is ideal cap wise, and for what Bouillon brings on the table. And the Rangers certainly can't start the season with 3 rookies. Hope it's confirmed soon.

I really like Bouillon. He showed some balls fighting Orr, and I recall him in some other decent scaps vs. Tim Taylor in the playoffs, against against that guy that was an the Oilers whose name I can't think of right now.

According to this French speaking website www.radio-canada.ca/sports/hockey/2009/08/12/001-bouillon-mercredi.shtml it looks like once again there could be an erroneous report floating around. It's strange that this rumor was circulated on Monday, then it went away until Wednesday afternoon. Both times the rumor was that a French Canadian radio station had confirmed that Bouillon was a NYR. Jeff (as you'll see in the next post), noticed that the Google translation below had an error. So Jeff has roughly translated the first paragraph as saying: "Francis Bouillon is not only discussing his future with the New York Rangers. The former defenceman of the Canadiens, who's still whitout a contract one month away from the beginning of training camps, confessed he's been in contact with 5 or 6 teams." The rest of the article translated via Google, says:
Bouillon is back on his return to the game too early in the second match of the series against the Boston Bruins.
"It was a rash decision, but it was mine," he said, outside the golf tournament Maxim Lapierre.
Bouillon had not played for two months because of injuries to the abdomen and groin. DG Bob Gainey has called to ask him to take part in the warm, Bouillon then made the mistake of agreeing to return to the game
On April 18 against the Bruins, Bouillon has jumped on the ice four times, before aggravating his disease.
Since then, the Montreal Canadiens did not offer. Moreover, Bouillon is on the market with independent label player "injured". He describes his state of health must be scary to the Directors-General and this probably explains why this is so long.

Actually the article says Bouillon is talking with the Rangers, but not only with them. I would translate the first paragraph this way: "Francis Bouillon is not only discussing his future with the New York Rangers. The former defenceman of the Canadiens, who's still whitout a contract one month away from the beginning of training camps, confessed he's been in contact with 5 or 6 teams." If you need a translation in French, let me know if I can help.

Thanks Jeff!
I think I'm going to stop using these translation engines and just wait for the English media to take a hold of the story LOL
The whole Zherdev situation got blown out of proportion partially because of a bad translation by someone using Google & now this translation. Even though it's not a significant difference in words, it makes a huge difference to the actual story

The Zherdev story on RDS is weird, I think I read two different articles. They first reported the deal as done, before to slightly modify the article adding conditional. Another article on RDS.ca regarding Bouillon today. He's denying the rumors sending him to NY. translation: www.rds.ca/canadien/chroniques/280234.html
