The Hudson River rivalry is drilling down.
The Rangers' AHL squad, the Hartford Wolf pack, will visit the Devils' minor-league franchise, the Lowell Devils, in Newark at the Pru Center this season on Jan. 6 and Feb. 3. Each game starts at 7 p.m. Interesting op for fans who don't want to make the drive to Hartford.
Isles and Rangers fans, as always, can see their up-and coming youngsters, as well as some AHL vets, at Bridgeport when the two clubs square off.
With Knicks, etc., Garden's too booked to host the Pack/Sound Tigers; the Rock however, has open dates, hence the scheduling.
What's the over/under for attendance?
Well, Rangers host the Stars on Jan. 6; however, the Blueshirts are off Feb. 3, having just returned from a West Coast trip, so that game might draw more Rangers fans. Tix on sale around the start of the regular season, we're told. Source: www.newsday.com/sports/hockey/rangers/blue-notes-1.811976
