Confirmed: Yelle Signs w/ Hurricanes

Jim Rutherford, President and General Manager of the National Hockey League’s Carolina Hurricanes, today announced that the team has agreed to terms with center Stephane Yelle (STEH-fahn YEHL) on a one-year, $550,000 contract.

Not often a team discloses the salary & terms in the press release, I like that the Hurricanes did.

That's a pretty cheap salary. I was honestly hoping he'd sign in Colorado. He's less skilled than Eaves but has way more intangibles, and with Eaves' freakish lack of production in Carolina this is definitely an upgrade.
